CVR Autocross Rules - Event Timing and Scoring

  1. In the event of a timer problem the competing car will be flagged off the course and granted a rerun, unless the car was off course before the timer problem took place. Then the run will be counted and marked as an off course.

  2. An entrant's score for the event will be that entrant's lowest official time from all official timed runs as a percentage to the fastest time of the day. Awards will be based on the event scores.

  3. If a contestant upsets a pylon or moves it completely outside its outline, a penalty will be incurred. The penalty will be two seconds for each pylon so moved. All pylons will have the same penalty.

  4. Tied scores will not be broken. Equal awards will be given.

  5. For Street and Prepared classes, and Improved, Modified, Women's and Other categories, awards will be given to first, second and third place provided there are at least four competitors in the class/ category. If there are only three, then only first and second will be awarded; if there are two or one, only first will be awarded. For Novice first through sixth places will receive awards, provided there are at least seven competitors. If there are less than seven, then the number of awards given out will be one less than the number of competitors.
