| CVR Autocross Rules - Year End Awards |
| |
- A year end award will be given to the winner of each class in Street and
Prepared, and to the winners of Improved and Modified. A year end award will
also be given to the top woman. No year end class awards will be given out
in the Novice and Other categories. Each class winner and top woman will
be eligible for the year end runoff.
- To qualify for year end awards, a driver must compete in over 50% of the
CVR-PCA autocross events in the SAME DRIVER / CAR COMBINATION and in the
SAME CLASS / CATEGORY. I.E. If a total of seven events are scheduled, a driver
must have competed in at least four in the same car, and in the same
class/category to be eligible. If a total of eight events are scheduled,
a driver must have competed in at least five in the same car, and in the
same class/category to be eligible.
- The results for eligible drivers will be compared to determine the class
winner. The results will be determined by a aggregate total of the best scores
from the qualifying events. In the event a driver has more scores than those
minimum needed to qualify, the best of the scores will be used in determination
of year end results. I.E. If running in four events qualifies for year end
awards, and a driver competes in six events in the same car in the same class,
then the best four out of the six scores will be used.
- The same procedure outlined above will be used to determine the top woman driver.
- Ties will not be broken and co-winners will be awarded.
- If no drivers qualify for a class / category, then no year end award will be given out for that class / category.
- A "Most Improved Driver Of The Year" award will be given to a driver who has competed during
the year and has shown the greatest improvement during the year. The driver receiving this award will be determined
by the autocross co-chairs. As well as results, attitude and enthusiasm will be considered.
