- Roll bars are required on all open cars running in Improved and Modified with the exception of the 911 Speedster and 911 America Roadster.
- Non-factory shoulder harnesses may be used in an open car only if the car is equipped with a roll bar or cage.
- Cars with removable roof panels must have the panels securely in place. They may run without roof panels if the car is equipped with a roll bar or cage.
- Sunroofs must be closed.
- Bolt-on windshields may be removed.
- Contestants must use face shields if driving an open car, or a car with the windshield removed.
- Tonneau covers are prohibited on the passenger side.
- All open cars must have convertible tops closed, unless equipped with a roll bar or cage. (Except for Speedsters and Roadsters.)
- Bare feet, sandals or open toe shoes are not permitted.
- Fire-resistant driving suits, gloves and shoes are recommended, but not
required. Natural fiber full-length pants, and long-sleeved shirts/tops are
suggested, but not required. Full shoes are required, preferably with rubber
soles.
- An approved helmet in good condition is required.
- Seat belts must be used.
- Drivers will not be allowed to enter the course without knowledge of the flag signals and correct procedures.
- Tires will receive a check during pre-event tech for tread and condition. 30psi is recommended for street tires. Tires should have adequate clearance
and on Street and Prepared categories must not rub against any surface during
the driving event. Slightly rubbing tires are allowed in Improved and Modified.
However, disqualification of any car may result from rubbing tires that appear
hazardous during the pre-event tech in the opinion of the inspectors.
- All loose objects inside the truck and passenger compartment must be removed.
- Wheel covers must be removed from steel wheels.
- The gas cap must be securely in place.
- If a Modified car is not street legal, the car must have a roll bar and full racing harness.
- All cars must pass a final safety inspection before running in the event.
- Any safety related modifications are free in all classes.
